Major skills shortage in the tech sector

Three out of four Swedish companies say they have difficulty finding people with the right skills. It is mainly IT and computer skills that Swedish employers lack.

The figures come from Experis' global report The New Age of Tech Talent, which shows a continuing skills shortage in the tech industry. In Sweden, the shortage is greatest for cybersecurity experts, software and app developers, IT project managers and database and network experts.

The report also shows that skills shortages are spreading globally. It is no longer possible to rely on international skills to bridge the skills gap in the Swedish labor market.
